Hong Kong and Beijing - Sept 18, 2006 - Sanrio Wave Hong Kong Company Limited and Gameislive Corporation Limited announced today that the two companies will cooperate to bring Hello Kitty and her friends to China’s 400 million mobile phone users. The cooperation calls Gameislive to develop and operate a massively multiplayer online game (MMOG) on mobile, based on Sanrio’s all time favorite characters, including Hello Kitty, My Melody, Badtz-Maru, Keroppi and etc.

“China’s mobile game market has been a priority for Sanrio. It is critical to find the right partner, with the experience and track record to develop mobile online games, and the ability and know-how to market it effectively throughout the huge country,” said Hiroaki Nishino, General Manager of Sanrio Wave Hong Kong Co., Ltd.,, “and we are glad to find these elements in Gameislive.”

The game, which is already under active development, is targeted to be available in China for open beta on November.

Apart from mobile MMOG, Gameislive also offers mobile wallpapers, MMS, and standalone mobile through China Mobile and various channel partners.

2006年9月18日。香港,北京 – 三丽鸥(Sanrio Wave Hong Kong Company Limited)和拉阔游戏(Gameislive Corporation Limited)共同宣布,两家公司将合作把吉蒂猫和她的朋友们带给中国的四亿手机用户。在这个合作里,拉阔游戏会基于三丽鸥全系列著名卡通角色开发一个大型多人在线手机游戏,这些角色包括吉蒂猫、My Melody、Badtz-Maru和Keroppi等。

Approaching our seventh anniversary early this month, we were informed by Red Herring that iiL was shortlisted as a finalist of Red Herring Asia 100 2006. Thanks for the encouragement of Red Herring!



Although we later marginally failed to enter the final top 100, we regard it as a good enough recognition for us, for having done the right thing in the past seven years. And undoubtedly, we will continue our way of doing business: develop and publish the coolest mobile online games, without forgetting the joy of the process, and to importance of corporate responsibility.

Making it a tradition of our company, iiL is donating 100 “Turns SEVEN” T-shirts for charity fund raising during our seventh anniversary.



This year, we target to raise RMB20,000, for helping 40 students in need with an RMB500 yearly study financial aid. The donation will be executed by Xianbiandan(小扁担励学行动), who is also responsible for choosing the students from a primary school in Shaoguan(韶关). The city is in the north of Guangdong(广东), and was flooded by heavy rain during the typhoon last month.

iiL turns seven

Throughout all these years and against all odds, iiL has always been evolving herself to adopt to the fast changing MVAS market. Yet, her core has always remained intact. Now that iiL has turned into SEVEN (August 9). Happy birthday!

To celebrate our birthday, a badminton competition was organized at our Guangzhou office. After a fierce competition and a lot of sweet, Johnson and Rain have won the grand prizes of male and female group respectively. Congratulations!

Annual dinner was also organized at Guangzhou, with quiz, lucky draw and a dozen of winners!

The 1st China Mobile Online Game submit was held by Downjoy (http://www.downjoy.com) in a stylish bar in Beijing last Friday, July 21st. The leading mobile online game developers and publishers, as well as handset manufacturers, were invited to share their experience on the market.


Peter (rightmost) shares his views on the industry

Being a poineer in the mobile online game market, Gameislive’s CTO, Peter Tam shared his views on the publishing of Zhanguo, one of the first mobile MMORPG in China. Peter shared the difficulities he encountered on development, marketing and customer service, in which he indicated that “customer service should help resolve problems instead of being engaged with users”.Guests in the event all wish more and more such events can be held to make a plaform for discussion and communication among the industry players.

Mobile MMORPG – Old Wish III v.2.50 debut

Gameislive today announces the debut of v.2.50 of its first Mobile MMORPG – Old Wish III or Zhan Guo.

Old Wish III is the first MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) developed by Gameislive. Old Wish III will bring you back to the stage of China history — Zhan Guo or what is called Warring State Period. Zhan Guo period covers the period from sometime in the 5th century BC to the unification of China by the Qin Dynasty in 221 BC. Seven major states had risen to prominence. These Seven Warring States (戰國七雄/ Zhànguó Qīxióng, literally “Seven Hegemonies among the Warring States”), were the Qi (齊), the Chu (楚), the Yan (燕), the Han (韓), the Zhao (趙), the Wei (魏) and the Qin (秦). Players will enjoy being a nobody to the Emperor of the country.

The latest version v.2.50 is now available at China Mobile and accessible to over 270 millions China Mobile users. Currently Old Wish III has over 300,000 registered users. The v.1.0 was unveiled in Hong Kong in February 2005 for beta test.Old Wish III v.2.50 is launched in China by Guangzhou Meng Fei Xing (Moffy China Limited) at China Mobile’s M-BOX.

Old Wish III is scheduled to launch in other parts of East Asia by 3rd quarter of 2006 through MOffY.
